Public procurement in the UK and the rest of the European Union is governed by a number of Directives and Regulations which are then implemented in national legislation. Directive 2007/66/EC Remedies Directive Amends the existing Remedies Directives (89/665/EEC and 92/13/EEC) to improve the effectiveness of review procedures concerning the award of public contracts. Standard Forms - Regulation 1564/2005 Establishing standard forms for the publication of notices in the framework of public procurement procedures pursuant to Directives 2004/17/EC and 2004/18/EC.	Implemented in Statutory Instruments 2006/5, 2006/6 and Scottish Statutory Instruments 2006/1, 2006/2 listed above.

Threshold Amendments – Regulation 1177/2009 Amending Directives 2004/17/EC and 2004/18/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council in respect of their application thresholds for the procedures for the award of contracts.
